Bio: Shuangye Yang, Deputy General Manager of the CNPC Manufacturing Innovation Center (Beijing Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd.), is a Senior Engineer and a member of the Shaanxi Youth Science and Technology Association. He has received numerous honors, including recognition as an Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker by the CNPC, appointment as Chief Engineer of Qinchuangyuan, and awards such as the Baoji “May Day Labor Medal” and the Young Talent designation. Over the years, he has led or participated in more than 30 research projects, including eight at the national or provincial level, and has been granted over 30 patents, including 16 invention patents. He has published 28 papers, five of which are indexed in SCI/EI, and has drafted seven industry and group standards. His achievements have been recognized with five provincial or ministerial awards and 18 bureau-level honors. His research primarily focuses on intelligent control systems for oil, gas, and new energy equipment, as well as key technologies in foundational industrial software.
Zhengguo Yan

Bio: Zhengguo Yan, a Professor at the School of Electronic Engineering, Xi’an Shiyou University, is a trailblazer in oil and gas well visualization detection technology in China. He has been recognized as a “Scientific and Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent” by Shaanxi Province, a “Local Leading Talent” by Xi’an Municipality, and an Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker in the Petroleum and Chemical Industry. Since 2000, he has dedicated his efforts to the advancement of oil and gas well visualization detection technologies. In 2015, he pioneered an adaptive high-speed transmission technology for logging cables, increasing the transmission rate to 2 Mbps. By 2017, he had successfully developed the VideoLog series of visualization detection technologies and associated equipment, enabling clear and precise applications in areas such as casing damage detection, water and leakage tracing, fishing tool identification, downhole tool inspection, and operational effectiveness evaluation. In 2022, the introduction of the Huiyan series of visualization logging instruments marked a breakthrough from qualitative to quantitative visualization detection, achieving internationally advanced performance in applications such as perforation erosion quantification in unconventional horizontal wells and fracturing effectiveness evaluation.
